1. Who controls your data
Prime Express Delivery is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with our services. Contact us at support@primexdelivery.com for any data protection query, including to exercise the rights set out below.
2. What we collect
Contact details for you and for consignment recipients. Consignment information, including descriptions, declared values, collection and delivery addresses and custody records. Identity verification records taken at release. Billing and payment records. Website usage data, described in our cookie policy.
For staff and applicants we process recruitment and vetting data, described separately at the point of application.
3. Why we process it
To perform our contract with you. To meet legal obligations, including customs, anti-money-laundering and tax requirements. For our legitimate interests in securing goods, preventing crime and defending claims — balanced against your rights.
Identity records taken at release are processed because a documented release is a core security control, not an optional extra.
4. How long we keep it
Custody records and identity verification records are retained for the period required to defend a potential claim and to satisfy regulatory obligations, typically six years from completion of the movement. Billing records are retained as required by tax law. Website analytics data is retained for a shorter period, stated in our cookie policy.
5. Who we share it with
Vetted partner carriers and agents where a movement requires them. Customs authorities and brokers where a border is crossed. Insurers and loss adjusters where a claim arises. Law enforcement where we are lawfully required to do so.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
6. International transfers
Where a movement crosses borders, consignment data necessarily travels with it. Transfers outside the UK are made under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required.
7. Your rights
You may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccuracies, erasure in certain circumstances, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Some data cannot be erased on request where we are legally required to retain it — custody and identity records connected to a completed movement are the usual example. We will tell you when that applies and why.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it first.
